Brenda Magnon

Cowboy Cotons will spare no expense when it comes to the health of our cotons. The health and temperament of the Coton de Tulear is one of the most important issues in our breeding program. As a Breeder of Merit, all cotons, before entering Cowboy Cotons’ breeding program are tested for the following health issues and the test results registered with the health organizations that they pertain to.

These organizations and supported testing are listed as follows:

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals Inc. (OFA) Supported Health Testing (done by a certified Veterinarian).

  • Hips
  • Elbows
  • Patella
  • Cardio

The Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF) Cerf Testing (done by a certified  Veterinarian of Opthamology)

  • Eyes

If requested, copies of these test results can be provided.

Brenda’s knowledge of the Coton de Tulear breed is extensive. She has served two terms as a board member of the United States of America Coton de Tulear Club and a Breeder of Merit. It is Brenda’s love of the Coton de Tulaer breed that is the driving force behind  Cowboy Cotons. Should you decide to own A Coton de Tulear do not be surprised if you decide that one coton is just not enough!

As Brenda points out, Cotons, besides being  the ultimate companion dog are beautiful, intelligent, healthy, long lived, and openly affectionate – all in a package that was just the right size for a companion. The Coton is not so small as to be fragile, nor so large that it wouldn’t be a good lap dog, in other words  the Coton is “Just Right”.

“It is hard to describe the joy that has been brought to my life as a direct result of adding these wonderful dogs to my home”. Brenda Magnon  – Owner/Breeder - Cowboy Cotons</>
